A Prayer Page The Mustard Seeds Bible Study Women's Guild Men's Fellowship Listeners

Matthew 17:19-20  For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

St Peter’s Mustard Seed Group

When the first meeting of the Mustard Seeds was held over twelve months ago, we were not at all sure if anyone would attend, but now I am pleased to say that we have actually outgrown Stephen’s dining room and now meet in the lounge at Kildare Grange.

The last year has been a very exciting one for us all and I am sure all members will agree that we have grown in friendship as well as strengthening our Christian faith.

We started off with a set course which we called ‘And There’s More’.  This was six sessions which looked at some of the basic building blocks of our faith and how God has His hand on our lives, even if we often don’t realize it.

We then decided to do a more biblical study and we chose the Sermon on the Mount as this includes so many really important principles and instructions.  There are 12 studies in the book, but although we always intend to complete a study in a week, our discussions are always so interesting and challenging that we never manage to get to the end in one session.  (And I have to admit we sometimes stray off at a tangent too as the Spirit leads!!).

Apart from the obvious benefits of the teaching, it has certainly been great to have the opportunity to get to know people in a more informal and relaxed setting.

Kildare Grange has a large lounge and we warmly welcome any new members who would like to come along.  No pressure to read and no questions directed at any individual.  You are just free to say as much or as little as you like.

After much discussion we have decided that we would like to run the Alpha Course as a project from Lent to Pentecost and we pray that as many as possible will feel God calling them to join in with this venture which has been used in lots of churches all over the world and been a catalyst for amazing growth.

We thank God for His goodness and pray for his continued blessing on the group.

Quote from a confirmation candidate.

After making the decision that I wanted to learn more about Christianity and to once again, confirm my faith in Jesus,   I attended the weekly sessions at the vicarage where Vicar Stephen and Anita were our mentors.

We all soon got to know each other very well and the sessions were fun, very relaxed, but at the same time very informative and educational.  Time would just fly by and it would often get to the stage where we would all just sit talking......on the verge of being thrown out!!.

The whole confirmation experience was very enjoyable and a great place to start your Christian journey.
