A Prayer Page The Mustard Seeds Bible Study Women's Guild Men's Fellowship Listeners

Matthew 17:19-20  For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

St Peter’s Mustard Seed Group

Dear Friends

Many of you will be aware that in January, following the successful Adult Confirmation Class last year, we decided to take a leap of faith and start up a Study Group.

To start off and to allow people to get to know each other on a deeper level, we decided to explore some questions about the fundamentals of our Christian faith.  This gave us a chance to discuss things in a relaxed atmosphere and ask questions without feeling embarrassed.  We have called ourselves the Mustard Seed Group, because we hope it will grow into a large tree from a small beginning!

The first series of meetings is just drawing to close and we have all enjoyed talking, sharing and learning together over the past twelve weeks. We have certainly grown in friendship and fellowship as well as increasing the strength of our faith

We are keen to carry on and have decided to use the Sermon on the Mount as the theme for our next series of meetings.  Some of the topics we will cover are Unexpected Blessings, Private Sins, The Lord’s Prayer and Ambitions.

We are keen for our group to expand and warmly invite you to come along and join us on alternate Monday evenings in the Vicarage.  We know that many people have a variety of other commitments and cannot manage to attend each week.  No problem!  Just come along when you can.  This is not an academic study and you will not be expected to answer any tricky questions.  There is no pressure.  It is just a group of Christian friends sharing fellowship together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Many people have expressed an interest in coming along to the group, so if you are still wondering if it is for you, why not just give it a try.

If you have any questions or want to know more, please give me a ring (760082) or speak to me in church.

Look forward to seeing you.  With love

Anita Archer

Quote from a confirmation candidate.

After making the decision that I wanted to learn more about Christianity and to once again, confirm my faith in Jesus,   I attended the weekly sessions at the vicarage where Vicar Stephen and Anita were our mentors.

We all soon got to know each other very well and the sessions were fun, very relaxed, but at the same time very informative and educational.  Time would just fly by and it would often get to the stage where we would all just sit talking......on the verge of being thrown out!!.

The whole confirmation experience was very enjoyable and a great place to start your Christian journey.
